Sandbox Limit System by Ethorbit

This is a sandbox addon. It's purpose goes to non-password protected public sandbox servers with people that may just try to crash the server when the admins aren't on.
So what is the limit system?
The limit system is a lua extension that changes sbox_max everything when an admin is on or off.
When an admin joins the game with no other admins on, a message in the chat will auto display saying
"An admin has joined! Limits are increasing to infinite!" and then all the limits go to 9999.
When an admin leaves with no other admins on, it'll say "The admin left! Changing limits back! Save your stuff! You have 3 minutes!"

There's a readme file in the lua/readme.lua file. Open that with notepad. It tells you how to configure everything!.
Just drop this in the "addons" folder after you configured it, restart the server and it should work!

Ethan Christie (me): Had the idea for this addon and hired a lua coder at Scriptfodder to make it work.
GLaDOS: The lua coder from scriptfodder who added and edited the code.
kpjVideo (at scriptfodder): Contributed a small free version of the code that GLaDOS added onto and edited.

This download looks like an unpacked addon. You can either convert the files to an addon or merge the folders in the zip with the folders in your Garry's Mod folder.

Convert to Addon (Recommended)

You should end up with a directory structure similar to below:

  • steamapps
    • common
      • garrysmod
        • garrysmod
          • addons
            • Sandbox Limit System <-- Make this folder!
              • e.g.
              • lua
              • maps
              • materials
              • models
              • etc

Or, Merge Folders (Not recommended)

This option makes it difficult to remove the content should you no longer want it. Merge any folders from the zip with the equivalent folders in your Garry's Mod folder.

Don't know where the Garry's Mod folder is or how to extract zip files? See more useful installation tips.
